GATE 2013 Exam
Purpose of GATE score:
1. Admissions to post-graduate in engineering (eg. M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D.)
2. Public sector units employment.
You can apply for only ONE paper out of the 21 papers.
I want to appear in gate examination with different streams, is it possible?
Yes, you can it’s your choice of to select the appropriate paper/ specialization. The eligibility condition will be applicable as per institute / PSU’s will vary from one to others. To score better it is expected to appear in discipline of yours qualifying degree.
Can we change our examination paper or Examination city after final submission of Online application form?
No you cannot expect any change into GATE Examination 2013 paper after the submission of Application Form. You can requests GATE organizing institute for change of examination city till 20th November 2012.
Any fee is required to request change of Examination city ?
Yes, you need to pay fee of 400 for examination city change.
Can we request of ONLINE/ OFFLINE gate 2013 examination as per our choice?
No, these examination are predefined your request will not be considered.
Do I need to carry White paper for rough work during the test?
Carrying any such papers is not allowed into the examination hall.
Offline Exam: For rough work blank sheets are included inside the question booklet.
Online Exam: For rough work one notebook will be provided during test.
Can we demand for extra rough sheet during test?
No extra rough sheet will be provided during the test, so manage your sheet in the same way.
For GATE 2013 Offline examination, can we use Pencil to marks the bubbles in the answer sheet?
NO, Pencils are not allowed to darken the bubbles gate answer sheet.
ONLY Black ink ball point pen are allowed to darkening the bubbles in the answer sheet
